Hi! I'm JJ. I'm not in the game right now but I've been looking around and I'm thinking about possibly joining up! Are you still looking for someone to play Ivy?
in some intro posts i've chatted with people about their characters having a hard time telling laurel & ivy apart, but i'm open to whichever if there's a pb you're into c: the more important thing is definitely the relationship
ia! I've got a huge soft spot for sibling relationships where they're close/actually get along really well, so that was definitely one of the things that drew me to Ivy for a potential character. I haven't written up an app yet but my basic concept for her is that she's very academically inclined and has always done super well in school, and their parents (probably mostly their dad) have high expectations for her post-school, but she's kind of floundering identity-wise because she doesn't actually know what she wants to do with her life.
Also working off her Ribbonfin house traits I think she'd be kind of a pathological people-pleaser and wants everyone to like her, and because of that she actually kind of struggles with building strong relationships cause she's too worried about what people think of her to really be herself. I imagine especially in their time at Gooseberry she's been pretty good about letting Laurel do her own thing, but is still really co-dependent on her cause she's the person who knows her best.
alsoo that's pretty much exactly what i'd been thinking! ivy and laurel have different strengths/approaches to their academics & life, etc, and now are both kind of going through the same issues with getting older and having to sort things out, kinda ;-; i imagine ivy's successes w school sometimes put laurel in a weird place, since hers look so different.
i love how even from this little blurb they kind of seem like they'd be two sides of the same coin. c:
